About Mapping AutomationMapping Automation was founded in 1984 by Rudy Stricklan, a geospatial industry veteran who began his career in 1972 as a Production Manager for Technical Advisors, a pioneering automated mapping services company. Stricklan, a computer science graduate from the Colorado School of Mines, combined his formal education with geodetic surveying experience to develop a measurement-based methodology for creating computerized property basemaps.
